We had a baptism again this week here in Madagascar. We baptized Eric. He is now a member of the church with his wife Miora who was baptized a few weeks ago. We had to wait on him because he still had a bit of a drinking problem. But he is the newest member here in Sabotsy, and a great addition to the branch.
We are also preparing a few families for baptism coming up on the 25 of March. Hopefully they will be able to catch their dates. Last Wednesday was the Cyclone (Category 4 equivalent) and we ended up working the whole day. It was actually way fun to be in that much rain and flooding, Elder Sweeten and I went tracking in this giant rice field, got to the first house and the man came out and then said he does not except the missionaries and left. The next house we went to we said please will you let us in we are soaking wet because of the rain and we walked all across he rice field. They let us in and we started to teach them but there was something wrong the spirit just wasn't there, and we weren't feeling very good. Mid way thru the lesson the man who lived under the house came up to the floor we were on and started freaking out yelling at us saying that "he is the landlord and he will not have missionaries here on his land and told us we have to leave right now." We told him we just wanted to teach these people and that it is raining way hard because there is a cyclone. He said I don't care get out. We ended up thanking them for the time and went back out into the rain and wind and floods. Haha little did the land Lord know that we love the rain. We just stood out side his house while he yelled at us to get lost. We just laughed and headed back across the rice field to more houses.
Thats the story I got this week. There are so many more...
